The Beginnings of Rock and Roll
Historians traced Rock music, then called Rock and Roll, to the year 1954. It had revolutionized musical taste, especially among young people. Rock and Roll was the result of two musical styles, Rhythm and Blues and Country, together with new and improved techological developments.

Musical Analysis
In class we had to analyse the song Blue Suede Shoes by Elvis Presley. We deduced that it had a walking bass line, a blues chord progression, a 4/4 time signature and was in the key of A Major. The song used repetition, had an upbeat tempo, a duple metre, was in strophic form and had the instrumentation of a Double Bass, Vocals, the Electric Bass Guitar and Piano.
